Bro. Gorman McGee PM of 205 celebrates 60 years in the Craft

There were celebrations this week at Lodge Garthland St Winnoch No. 205 when Bro. Gorman McGee PM was presented with his 60-year certificate along with an engraved quaich.

Making the presentation, RWM Bro. John Naismith, spoke of the long and dedicated service Bro. Gorman had given to his Mother Lodge.

Bro. Gorman McGee was Initiated on 30th January 1956, Passed and Raised later that year and Marked on 23rd February 1957. He served as RWM of Lodge Garthland St Winnoch in 1961 – 62.

 He was also instrumental in the renovation of the lodge building in High Street, Lochwinnoch and ran the social club when freemasonry was booming.

 He has acted as an Installing Master in many occasions and was an Intender before the word was invented and still carries on in this important role in encouraging new Brethren in the lodge. Gorman’s brother was PPGSW Bro John McGee.
